lnvisalign is comfortable to wear, straightening your teeth not with brackets and wires, but with a series of clear, customised appliances called aligners. Invisalign is non-irritating to your mouth and easily removable.
Because there are no metal or wires with Invisalign, you spend far less time in the practice getting adjustments. lnvisalign uses advanced 3-D computer technology to create your customized aligners.
Dr.Qureshi determines what you want to correct. Using the 3-D computer technology, Dr.Qureshi generates a complete treatment plan for you, depicting the initial position of your teeth to the final desired position. He will show you your own virtual treatment plan before you start, so you will see how your straight teeth will look when your Invisalign treatment is finished.
Then we send precise treatment instructions to the Invisalign company, where instructions are translated into a sequence of finely calibrated aligners. There can be as few as 12 or as many as 48 aligners.
Once we receive your aligners, you wear your first one for about two weeks, taking the easily removed aligner out for eating, brushing and flossing. Over time, as you replace each aligner approximately every two weeks with the next, your teeth will move gradually, until they move into the final alignment that we prescribed.
You will have regular appointments with us approximately once every six weeks, to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. During your treatment, you can usually eat whatever you desire because you remove your aligners to eat and drink. This is yet another advantage over traditional orthodontic (teeth-straightening) methods, where there can be many food restrictions.
