Mrs L from Sevenoaks attended the Hygienist for her initial periodontal therapy. A six point pocket chart was taken which revealed 5 mm pockets , this is a sign of gum (periodontal) disease. These will be subsequently root planned under a local anaesthetic. Intensive oral hygiene instruction (OHI) was given.
