This young lady from Sidcup came in concerned about the tea and coffee stains on her front teeth.

We used a Cavitron ultrasonic scaler and a prophy polish to remove the stains.

Below are the before and after pictures.

This lady came to our practice with concerns about the appearance of her upper front teeth.. She actually had gaps between the four front teeth but the gaps had been closed in the past by adding a filling material over the surface and in between the teeth. She had been happy with this for a while but now the material had started to stain and chip away. She had also worn the the teeth down by grinding her teeth.

We started by making models of her teeth and then a 3D simulation of the planned new tooth shapes, called a diagnostic wax-up, was made and tried in over her existing teeth so that she could see what we could do. The great thing about this technique is that there are no surprises. The end result is exactly the same as the preview that the patient sees at this stage. She really liked the result.

The next step was to whiten her teeth with a home tooth whitening kit.

Finally the old filling material was removed, the teeth were minimally prepared and four porcelain veneers were made to replace the existing material and close the gaps between the teeth.

She had waited a long time to get the result she wanted and she was very happy with the final result.

This patient from Bromley was unhappy with the appearance of her upper front teeth.

She had considered veneers and fixed braces but was not keen on either.

We used a sectional expansion appliance to move out her crowded upper teeth on the left side before using an Inman aligner to align the remainder of her front teeth. We then just re-conyoured the edges of her front teeth a little.

This patient from London came to see us for a routine examination. The images below show photos of the worn teeth and photos of composite resin bonding carried out.

She was aware of grinding her teeth and of her worn teeth and was conscious of the way her teeth were changing shape and wearing down as a result of this.

She wanted to improve the appearance of her smile and protect the worn teeth. We suggested the use of composite resin bonding

Firstly she used a home tooth whitening kit to lighten her teeth to a colour she was happy with.

We then restored the lower teeth with directly placed composite resin. This required no adjustment of the natural tooth, only building back the lost tooth structure.

At a separate visit we restored the edges and front surfaces of the upper six front teeth.

The patient was really pleased with her new smile and was happy that her teeth were protected from the ongoing wear. She was very happy that we had been able to do this with no damage to her natural tooth structure.

This young lady from Sevenoaks came to us with several concerns. Firstly she felt her front two teeth were too long and also she did not like the white marks (fluorosis) on her front teeth. Her two central incisors had been restored in the past but the material had stained and the teeth were now darker.

We discussed a few treatment options and decided we would restore the two central incisors with porcelain laminate veneers and the lateral incisors and canines with direct composite resin. The patient whitened her teeth with a home tooth whitening system first.

She was very happy with the result and said now she can’t stop smiling. Quite a change for someone who hated smiling in photographs!

16 week Inman aligner case- Case by Chris Ibbott

This lady from Bromley was unhappy with the crooked front teeth. She wanted her teeth straightened but did not want fixed braces. Her case took 16 weeks to complete with an upper Inman aligner. The patient then used a home whitening kit and we finished with some composite edge bonding on three of the front teeth. Job done!

Quick and Effective Treatment For lower Crowding – by Neelam Patel

This patient was really unhappy with his lower teeth as they were very crowded and crowding was getting worse. The uneven positioning of the teeth also meant that he was unable to clean the teeth properly -this in turn was causing gum problems. The patient did not want to have any fixed braces and so opted to have an inman aligner. This was worn for 12 weeks and the teeth were then whitened. The patient is delighted with the results and not only has he got straight lower teeth but his gum health has also improved as he can now clean them easily. Below are the photos of before and after the treatment and we hope you agree the results are great!
