If so then you will be pleased to hear, that at Dental Elegance we endeavour to provide a pain/stress free hygiene visit. We are able to achieve this by using the revolutionary needle free local anaesthetic.

This then allows our hygienist to undertake a thorough assessment of your gum health to establish if there is any gum diseases present and if so the extent. They will then be able to treat your gums which will include a scale and polish with minimal discomfort caused.

If you are concerned about the health of your gums or have had bleeding whilst brushing or flossing then book an appointment  with one of our dentists who will then refer you to our hygiene team.

At Dental Elegance we screen all our patients very carefully for any signs of gum infection. If it is caught early treatment can be quick and advanced problems can be avoided. Gum infection or gum disease affects about 3 out of 4 adults over the age of 35. (it can affect any age group including young teenagers) . It is the biggest cause of tooth loss . There is a link between gum disease and heart disease. Gum disease progresses from mild to advanced relativly painlessly which means you are not aware of how bad your gum condition is. Gum disease or periodontitis can be a route into the bloodstream for around 700 types of bacteria found in the mouth, leading to the more serious problem of coronary heart disease. Here at Dental Elegance we have 3 hygienists who all share a wealth of experience. After your treatment is complete, not only will you see and feel a difference in your smile, you will gain inner confidence knowing that you have a clean healthy mouth.

Painless Hygiene

We have 3 dental hygienists at our Practice who are all highly trained and experienced. Patients with gum disease, loose teeth, bleeding gums, bad mouth odour, stained teeth etc are treated comfortably and painlessly with a new anaesthetic gel ORAQUIX  placed on the gums. This allows the hygienists to take care of the disease  causing plaque and tartar with fast modern day  cleaning  instruments so the gums heal gently. Treatment of gum infection is so important since studies are showing links with heart disease and diabetes, so at Dental Elegance we place on maintaining healthy gums and good oral hygiene, painlessly.

Superfast Zoom whitening for kent patient.

This young lady from sidcup, kent, was delighted with her Zoom laser whitening result. In one hour her teeth lightened several shades. We always include a home kit because the science shows that a home kit will make the result last longer and reduce fade back. You also have the ability to keep your teeth topped up at minimal cost.

We charge £495 for Zoom whitening and that includes the home kit worth £275.

A new Makeover at Dental Elegance Sidcup Kent.

We have been lucky enough to have had a makeover of a different sort.

Dental Elegance has updated its look with a new contemporary feel. Designed by Khoi and Judy Nghiem from Ultrasmile, they have managed to integrate the latest in hi-tech dentistry and ultra modern relaxing looks into our Sidcup Practice. Hygiene, implants, cosmetic dentistry, Inman Aligners and whitening are all available in new surgeries with daylight lighting systems.

Another amazing smile makeover with the Inman Aligner.

Today we just finished an amazing case using an Inman Aligner. 

Claire from South East London was really unhappy with her smile. Her front teeth really protruded and they also had some unsightly brown stains. 
Cases like this often take years with fixed braces. Alternatively some people even resort to having them ground right back and veneers are used to tilt them back in.

Now with the fast safe action of the Inman Aligner is is possible to treat cases like this only a few months. We always take good before and after photos of each case and today we sent Claires before and after photos by email.   This was her response

Finally the building works at Dental Elegance are coming to completion. We are thankful to all our patients

for putting up with some disruption to our work schedule during this period.

Mrs L from Sevenoaks attended the Hygienist for her initial periodontal therapy. A six point pocket chart was taken which revealed 5 mm pockets , this is a sign of gum (periodontal) disease. These will be subsequently root planned under a local anaesthetic. Intensive oral hygiene instruction (OHI) was given.
